In the heart of the Natchez Historic District you’ll find the Franklin St Antique Mall. The front part is a General Store with a large selection of Amish foods. They also have a great selection of gluten free foods, my favorite would be the single serve pies that are an improved version of a fig newton. The cookie to jam ratio is much better on the gluten free version.
I intended to start my tour by browsing the General Store but my eye was captured by two Antique Victorian Horses at the end of the aisle. I was so drawn by these that I didn’t notice anything else. As I was sitting on the floor admiring them I couldn’t help but picture a photo shoot with a chubby little baby sitting near one of these in a beautiful late afternoon country setting. What parent wouldn’t want that on their wall?
The rest of the store is just as wonderful with vintage furniture, a Magic Johnson signed basketball, old butter churns, interesting copper and the pictured booth which is one of my favorite booths so far. This booth is my style and if I still lived in my old farmhouse I would have loaded my truck up. I love this one so much that I’ve pinned it to our Inspirational Booths board on Pinterest.
I rate this store highly, its a very cozy and relaxed antique store that is worth a trip to Natchez.
